How to setup your printer?
1. Download the printer drivers and follow the software installation instructions. Ensure the printer is positioned within reach of your computer’s cable without causing any tangling.
2. Plug the printer into a power source and connect it to your computer using a USB cable while your computer is on and unlocked. In some instances, connecting the printer might automatically initiate the setup and installation process, allowing you to use it immediately.
3. Click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Select the Windows logo and then choose Settings. Go to Devices within the Settings menu.
4. From the left sidebar, select Printers and Scanners. Click on “Add a printer or scanner” at the top of the window.
5. Locate your printer’s name and click “Add device.” If your printer is not listed, click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed” and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup. Depending on your printer, you may need to adjust settings before it is ready for use. If necessary, insert the CD that came with the printer into your computer’s disc drive. Alternatively, if no CD was included (as might be the case with a secondhand printer), download the software from the manufacturer’s website.
